Gasification and
Pyrolysis Plant List
The
following is a table with Municipal Waste gasification and pyrolysis plants listed, and is
taken from the UK Defra Waste Implementation Programme, published in 2005. It shows plants which were
operational at that time, and some in planning and commissioning stages.
The
development of pyrolysis and gasification technologies for MSW was at that time considered to be in its infancy
in the UK but commercial scale plants were operating as in the table below. Most of those listed were in
operation in Europe, North America and Japan.
Many
other pyrolysis and gasification plants have been constructed and brought into operation since, and yet more
plant using Advanced Thermal Treatment technologies are in construction and planned.
